The Houston Grand Criterium…The Ultimate Urban Race is now in its third year. This unique event will take place in the nation’s fourth largest city along the backdrop of Houston’s distinctive downtown skyline. The event will feature multiple sanctioned races designed for juniors, women, enthusiasts and professionals. There will be a kids race to finish the day off in style!

The race course will be along Allen Parkway adjacent to Buffalo Bayou a common recreation destination for thousand of walkers, runners and cyclists daily. The Start/Finish and Expo will be located in Sam Houston Park, a popular outdoor attraction for thousand Houstonians on weekends. Refreshments and beverages graciously donated by by Bike Barn and Silver Eagle.

The event will include local and statewide cycling organizations in an effort to expand the love and support of cycling throughout our community. Bring your friends and family for a full day of racing, fun and excitment.

HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
Accomodations will be provided by Double Tree Hotels which is within 100 yards of the race start. Individuals can call direct to 713.351.5708 and ask for the “Bike Barn” or the “Houston Grand Crit” rate.  The room block will be released on April 24th, after the 24th  you can still receive the discounted rate until the hotel sells out.
